Afcap was established as a capacitor manufacturing company in the early 1980s.  In 2001 Afcap was purchased by the present owner, a fourth generation custodian of a family business.   In 2006 Afcap closed their manufacturing plant and began diversifying into lighting controlgear and lighting products.
